Annual Roadside Cleanup

 

Every year, the AWA in partnership with Solebury Township and its "Keep Solebury Beautiful" program coordinates a roadside litter cleanup. This all volunteer event makes a major impact in our community.

Brian Keyes, the AWA director who organizes the event along with AWA President Jade Greene, explained that "the cleanup event is important because it is an excellent way for our organization to involve civic-minded residents of the community in helping us realize our mission to conserve, preserve and restore the natural resources of the Aquetong Watershed."

Each year, the most common item of trash is single-use plastics, fast food trash, and bottles. We all need to do our part to be responsible: reduce our waste and properly dispose of what we purchase.
