15th Annual Membership Meeting - October 20, 2022

AWA's 15th Annual Membership Meeting was hosted at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. This was our first in-person event sine 2019!

Community members learned about the foundation and future of the AWA with a director panel, learned about the accomplishments in 2022, and our stream monitoring program.

The keynote speaker, Faran Savitz of PennEnvironment, presented about microplastic in Pennsylvania’s waterways and actions we can all take to reduce the use of plastic.

12th Annual Membership Meeting - October 10, 2019

AWA's 12th Annual Membership Meeting was hosted at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Community members gathered to hear about the AWA's latest initiatives, including our creek monitoring program, which continues to demonstrate the overall health of the Aquetong creek post-dam breech. An Aquetong Spring Park update was also given by directors.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Michael Van Clef of Ecological Solutions, presented about the impacts of invasive species and deer management.

11th Annual Membership Meeting - October 18, 2018

AWA's 11th Annual Membership Meeting was hosted at Cradle Valley Farm.

AWA directors also presented the latest updates for the Aquetong Spring Park project, which is being spearheaded by the Solebury Township. AWA serves as a watch dog for this project and advocates for ecological restoration of the area.

The highlight of the evening was a presentation by Melinda Daniels, PhD., Associate Research Scientist with the Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, PA.

Dr. Daniels presented a compelling case for why small watersheds like ours are so important and how vital restoration projects like ours are to the overall health of the surrounding communities.
